Today, I found out, that Kevin, does, indeed, have another girlfriend. I cried, and I don't think he knows it... I was sitting right next to him, but I just leaned against the window for the ride home, and pretended to sleep.
I realized he is moving on... and it hurts so bad.
I am sitting at the fork in the road, watching the path I wanted to take be yanked p by an angry construction crew right before my eyes...
Basically... I am stuck
Being stuck while someone you love moves on is about the worst feeling in the world. Trust me. But the only way not to be stuck is to keep moving.
ReplyDeleteThe thing to remember is that someone cared for you, someone genuinely thought that you mattered. They saw something in you that is still there, something that is integral to who you are as a person. Know that you are still that person, who is worthy of love and respect and care, and that those things they valued in you cannot be taken away. People come and go from your life, but they don't take pieces of you with them.
It takes time to move through things like this. Sometimes it takes a lot of time. But the depression passes, other things brighten your day, and there's no way to stop it (thank god!).
It gets better. I promise.
I am so sorry that you have to deal with something like that. I been there before and I can honestly understand the pain that you are going through. I wish no one would go through this. I know you may have heard this before but take the time to love yourself because you deserve more than that. I will pray for you dear blogger friend.
ReplyDeleteHey, I just stumbled upon your blog so I don't know much of the back-story of the post, but I decided to write my opinion anyway. Let me start by saying guys always think that they r missing something so they always search, attempting to find the next best thing. Let him "move on" or or at least think that he is. Let him realize that the girl he is with now doesn't even compare to you, when he sees that what he was looking for is YOU, he will be back. This may take time...but I went through this and now I'm we r engaged.
